GUN DOG RETRIEVING CLASS

A highly rewarding class for those dogs who have been bred to retrieve.

Using retrieving ‘dummies’, handler and dog work together to find dummies from increasing distances and in difficult terrain. This can be done for enjoyment only or as the basis for field trials or working tests if you get the bug.

It's great to see the dogs do what they are "designed" to do, and they love it far beyond anything else! It's an excellent ‘bonding’ exercise, as well as improving the dog’s steadiness and willingness to listen.

Beginner and improver classes throughout the year. It is often of benefit/necessity to do a general course before starting on gun dog, to devlop the needed steadiness around other dogs. We'll discuss this on first contact. 

The beginner course is designed to lay the essential foundations of obedience and steadiness as well as teaching your dog to retrieve and deliver a dummy to hand and levels progress from there
